FIFTY–THREE INTERNATIONAL GALLERIES TO EXHIBIT THE BEST MODERN & CONTEMPORARY LATIN AMERICAN ART


NEW YORK – PINTA, New York’s only modern and contemporary Latin American Art Fair, will be held for the second consecutive year November 13 –16 at both the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street and the B. Altman Building, 135 West 18th St. With approximately 45,000 square feet of exhibition space, PINTA 2008 will focus on Latin America’s artistic diversity by offering a curated selection of work by the best modern and contemporary Latin American artists. The fair management estimates that there will be 20,000 visitors with sales of $10 million. The opening night reception will be held on Thursday, November 13 from 6:30 P.M. –10 P.M. at the Metropolitan Pavilion. PINTA will be open Friday, November 14 from 12 P.M. – 8 P.M., Saturday, November 15 from 12 P.M. - 8 P.M. and Sunday, November 16 from 12 P.M. – 7 P.M.

11th Bharat Rang Mahotsav

We invite proposals for participation in the National School Of Drama 11th Bharat Rang Mahotsav will be held in New Delhi from 8th January to 19th January 2009.

The festival will feature work by directors, theatre groups and drama institutions from India and abroad and will showcase outstanding productions that has been performed for the public before September 15th , 2008.

Proposals are invited from groups that have been active in the theatre for a minimum of three years. Application are to be submitted by 18th August 2008 on the prescribed from and accompanied by good recording of the production in VCD/DVD/VHS format. A detailed synopsis and scene wise summary in English or Hindi will be required.

Only one production will be accepted from each theatre group in any language. The selection of the plays for the festival will be done by a committee of the theatre experts and their decision will be final and binding.
